“We can be heroes, just for one day,” sang David Bowie…
This could be the credo of Abel and Emile, the two main characters of this
comic. Their passion is cosplay: dressing up as a pop-culture character to
participate in big events. That said, never tell a cosplayer that he or she is
“dressing up”… you’ll get yourself in a bit of trouble! Cosplay and merely wearing
a costume are two radically different things. Today is Comic-Kon, and
Abel and Emile will finally be able to show off the costumes they’ve spent
months working on! Abel is Batman and Emile a Jedi Knight. But when they
get there, nothing goes as planned. A whistleblower being followed by armed
men sneaks into the crowd and hides among the participants of the cosplay
contest. The situation quickly escalates and turns into a full-blown hostage
situation! It’s time for real heroes to stand up and be counted if anybody wants
to get out alive. Our teens, with the help of a few new cosplayer friends, will
quickly have to prove themselves worthy of the costumes they are wearing to
save the world!
