Death to the Tsar

Script by - Art by

17th September 1904, Moscow. In front of the palace of the Governor General of Moscow, a crowd protests violently against poverty. Governor Sergei Alexandrovich is stood on the balcony when he drops his handkerchief. The soldiers begin firing…
In the first volume, the authors introduce us to the ambivalent personality of Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich and draw the reader into a black comedy with an inevitably tragic conclusion. At times the Governor seems overcome by the dark threat that seems to hang over him, at other times simply resigned to the fact that it is coming. It’s a fact; everyone around him speaks of him as if he were already dead. Drastic measures are taken: more phone taps, constant surveillance… The assassination attempts have all failed… but how long can it last?
