BAO Publishing is one of Italy’s leading graphic novel publishers, with a wide reach among the general public and not just the comics aficionados. Founded in 2009, its mission is to reach readers across the board, both through print and digital editions, offering material of the widest possible appeal. Since its founding, BAO has published over 500 titles, and is the Italian home of the likes of Jeff Smith, Terry Moore, Scott McCloud and Alan Moore’s creator-owned works. Among its original production are the complete works of Zerocalcare, constantly at the top of the charts for graphic novels, having sold well over four hundred thousand copies in three years.
