Sylvain Cordurié

Scriptwriter

Sylvain Cordurié fed his imagination with comics by Alan Moore and André Franquin, before studying the fine arts in Angers. After graduation, he turned to writing role-playing games, putting to use his ability to combine fantasy and history. It was by working on a collection dedicated to witch-hunting that he got the idea for the fantasy comics series Salem la Noire (Delcourt, 2003). But his imagination is not limited to the past: after Salem, he wrote Acriboréa (Delcourt, 2006), an intergalactic science fiction series. He then turned his attention to writing scripts, including One (Le Lombard, 2009; Europe Comics in English, 2019), a contemporary thriller mixing politics and the fantastic.
