Christian Paty

Christian Paty was born in 1969 in Nantes. After he earned his Baccalauréat (French high school diploma) in literature, he worked for an advertising agency in Rennes as an artistic director from 1989 to 2006. In the meantime he entered the world of comics, and in 1997, he created two volumes of the series Damoiselle Gorge (Vents d'Ouest) in collaboration with Tiburce Oger. Starting in 1999, several of his books were published by Soleil Productions, including La cicatrice du souvenir and La Geste des Chevaliers Dragons with Ange, Les Zaliens with Dominique Mainguy, and also Kookaburra Universe. In 2004, using the pen name of Dzack, he started the series Les Blondes with Gaby (Soleil). In 2016, Bernard Swysen proposed a collaboration on two biopics, featuring Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot. These would later come out as part of the series Les étoiles de l'Histoire (Dupuis; "The Stars of History," Europe Comics).
