Author Selçuk Ören was born in Istanbul. In March 2015, his first book Şehzade Yangını was published by Sırtlan Kitap. He also illustrated short stories written by Turkish writer Murat Menteş, published in 2016. He entered the Europe Comics catalog in 2021 with the high-octane series The Butcher (Akan Ajans/Sirtlan).
