Barbara Canepa

Barbara Canepa (born in Genova in 1969) spent many years working with the Walt Disney Company, where she became, along with Alessandro Barbucci, the driving graphic force behind the international success W.I.T.C.H. She also created the renowned sci-fi series Sky Doll, once more with Barbucci, which was published worldwide, and in 2002 she breathed life into the graphic universe of Monster Allergy, another international hit series (Tunué; Europe Comics in English). In 2007 she created two new collections for Soleil/Delcourt, Venusdea and Metamorphose, and in 2012, with Anna Merli, she created the series End. Canepa has also worked as art curator for major European museums, and currently exhibits her original works in various art galleries.
