The Edinburgh International Book Festival began in 1983 and is celebrated annually in Scotland’s capital city. Today, the Festival organizes over 700 events, which are enjoyed by people of all ages. Its home is the historic Charlotte Square Gardens, which are transformed each year into a magical tented village that welcomes around 220,000 visitors.
With authors from all over the world, the International Comics Festival of Beja has a diversified program: project presentations, book launches, talks about comics, autograph sessions, live drawing and even a comic book market. These activities take place all around the town, in libraries, pubs, and the Culture House.
Award-winning French Illustrator Alexandre Clérisse will present a drawing workshop and discuss his newest book Now Playing: A Seek-and-Find Book for Film Buffs, a seek-and-find book from Chronicle Books. Green Apple Books will have copies of the book for sale. Two lucky attendees will receive two film passes donated by 4 Star Theatre. This program is open to children, tweens, teens, and their parents. No registration is required.
