Barcelona International Comics Fair is an annual meeting of authors, publishers and comic readers. It has taken place in the city of Barcelona since 1981. The festival’s prizes are awarded to the best works published during the year preceding the Fair. In addition, the Gran Premi del Saló (Grand Prize of the Barcelona International Comics Convention) is awarded to authors based on their entire career.
The 7th Comic Book Festival Dublin taking place from 17th to 23rd May, will include a series of free events including discussions, live readings, a screening, adults & children’s creative workshops, and, in partnership with International Literature Festival Dublin, an outdoor collaborative project!
The Dublin Comic Arts Festival is a series of small press comic book events celebrating its 4th year running with events in 2022 in May and September. DCAF was founded by Matthew Melis & The Comics Lab of the Stray Lines comic collective. DCAF is organized by a committee of local comic creators and illustrators: Matthew Melis, Debbie Jenkinson, Sarah Bowie, Elida Maiques, Charlot Kristensen, Jacek Matysiak, Dearbhla Kelly, Clara Dudley, Clare Foley.
Quai des Bulles is a festival of comics, graphic novels, and projected images held in the city of Saint-Malo in France. By its attendance, it is the 2nd French festival of the kind, after that of Angoulême. It is particularly known for its exhibitions.
