AKAN AJANS

Akan Ajans is the first foreign rights agency in Turkey specialized in importing comic book, comic strip and syndication rights with more than thirty years’ experience in the field. Popular series such as Lucky Luke, Garfield, Asterix, The Smurfs and Tintin were introduced to Turkish readers via Akan Ajans. The agency works successfully with well-known publishers such as Dargaud, Delcourt, DC Comics, Glénat, Casterman, and Hachette/Asterix. Given its thorough knowledge of the Turkish, Franco-Belgian and American markets, Akan Ajans is a key representative of foreign comics publishers in Turkey. The aim of the company is to sell rights of foreign comics and graphic novels on the Turkish market, and also to present works of Turkish comics artists to foreign publishers and thus connect domestic publishers and artists with foreign publishers. Akan Ajans is very active on the Turkish comics scene and co-organizes the Turkish comics festival called Istanbulles.
