Loïc Clément was born in 1981 in Bruges (Belgium). He is a passionate reader and passionate about books, having run a specialized book shop and worked as a literary critic and librarian before becoming a writer himself. He is now a comics scriptwriter and author of illustrated books. One of his first books, the graphic novel Le Temps des mitaines (Didier Jeunesse, 2014; Europe Comics in English, 2020) created alongside Anne Montel, was awarded multiple prizes. The pair of authors came back together in 2016 for the graphic novel Les Jours sucrés (Dargaud; Days of Sugar and Spice, Europe Comics).
