Yves Swolfs

Artist & Scriptwriter

Yves Swolfs quickly made himself known as an artist, with his realistic drawing style full of character, and a pronounced taste for genre comics. As soon as he left the Saint-Luc Institute in Brussels, he created Durango, an arid western. A prolific writer, he usually manages to take on each of his projects single-handedly, as both author and illustrator. But between comics and music—Swolfs is a guitarist for the Belgian rock band Lazare—he sometimes has to confide his many stories directly to others. He turned to Griffo to guide us through the post-apocalyptic Russia of Vlad, while for James Healer it was Giulio de Vita who took readers on a tour of the desert plains of this paranormal thriller. A true popular storyteller, Swolfs has enjoyed undisputed success since his beginnings... and well deserved! More recently, the author has created the series Lonesome, a new western published by Le Lombard (Europe Comics/Cinebook in English).
